Questions
Gathering: questions and answers
- What is the best thing to gather right now?
- On KR, by profession: Herbalism: Argentleaf (90g); Mining: Umbral Tin Ore (51g); Skinning: Fantastic Fur (172g); Fishing: Null Voidfish (289g). Each is the highest price among that profession's materials that actually sell.
- Which day of the week do gathered materials sell best?
- Tuesday, at +2.2% against the week's average; Friday is the cheapest at −2.4%. Measured over the last 7 weeks of daily prices. The swing is small, so do not sit on stock for days just to catch it.
- Where do these numbers come from?
- From Blizzard's hourly snapshot of every commodity auction in the region. A price is the robust low (what the cheapest quarter of the stock asks), changes compare against daily history, and sales count listings that sold rather than expired. Nothing here guesses drop rates or gold per hour.
Materials come from the game data, not a hand list: everything a gathering profession gathers this expansion, minus what other professions craft. A material is rising or falling past ±5% over seven days, and only when it sells often enough for the move to mean something.
