How it fits together

Four pieces, and you only install one

You install this

The addon, in game

Puts market values on tooltips and scans the auction house for underpriced lots.

On your PC

The companion, optional

A small tray app that writes fresh prices into the addon every hour and sends your sales back.

On the site

goldcap.gg

Prices every realm hourly, and turns those sales into a profit ledger.

In your Discord

The Discord bot

Ask for a price, a deal or the token in any server — the answer comes back as a card, with no tab to open.

Add to Discord

The addon works on its own: prices ship inside it and refresh with each release.

The companion is what makes them hourly instead of per-release.

You also need the addon

The companion feeds data to the GoldCap addon in game. Without the addon there is nothing for it to write to.

The file is not signed yet

Windows shows an "unknown publisher" warning: choose More info, then Run anyway. The installer then asks for administrator rights, because it installs into Program Files. On macOS, right-click the app and choose Open the first time. On Linux, make the AppImage executable (chmod +x) and run it; if it complains about FUSE, install libfuse2 (libfuse2t64 on Ubuntu 24.04 and later). The checksums above let you verify the file you got.
